Interventional pulmonology
Interventional Bronchoscopy is gaining more and more importance in the daily practice of pulmonary medicine. Cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation and electrosurgical applications are playing an important and useful role in this field.
The main focus of this workshop will be the hands-on training on organ and animal models. Theory sessions about interventional pulmonology and technology will complete the program.
We will practice central and transbronchial cryobiopsies as well as debulking of central airway tumors with different modalities. Extraction of foreign bodies and blood clots to handle emergent situations will also be practised.
