Erbe donates 13,500 euros to Difäm
At the 28th Tübingen Erbe Run and the Virtual Charity Run, people from 28 countries logged a total of almost 27,000 kilometers. For every kilometer run, Erbe donated 50 cents to our social partner. The German Institute for Medical Mission (Difäm) is building a hospice in Tübingen.
The participation of our employees and their families was particularly strong. With almost 4,900 kilometers, the share of the international Erbe community in the result was particularly large.
Last year, the Tübingen Erbe Run took place as a virtual event for the first time due to the Corona situation. Participants were able to take part in the run at any time, any place and at any pace within one week and document their performance later. This concept was so well appreciated internationally that we decided to offer the virtual version this year in addition to the actual running event on-site in Tübingen.
Not only for the global Erbe community, the run was once again a major sporting event that brings people together. "Thanks to everyone, including all the students who helped out. It was a great event," says Dr. Gisela Schneider, director of the German Institute for Medical Mission e.V. (Difäm). "And very special thanks to the Erbe company for their great support."
